This privacy policy applies to the Kittmatic app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Kittmatic LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Your name and email address when you register
- Pet Information: Pet names, species, photos, and personality traits you create
- Task Data: Pet care tasks and completion records you create
- User Content: Any descriptions, notes, or customizations you add
Information Collected Automatically
- Authentication Data: Secure tokens to maintain your login session
- Usage Data: Task completions, feature interactions, and app performance metrics
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility
The Application does not collect:
- Your device's IP address
- Your precise location
- Device identifiers for advertising
- Web browsing history
How We Use Your Information
The Service Provider uses collected information to:
- Provide core app functionality (pet care tracking, AI-generated messages, voice synthesis)
- Maintain and sync your data across devices when signed in
- Generate personalized thank-you messages from your pets using AI
- Create voice messages using text-to-speech technology
- Enable sharing of pet care responsibilities with family members
- Provide customer support when requested
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
The Service Provider does not send marketing emails or promotional communications. You may receive only essential service-related communications (such as security updates or account-related notifications).
AI and Voice Generation
The Application uses artificial intelligence services to enhance your experience:
- Message Generation: We use Anthropic's Claude API to create personalized thank-you messages based on your pet's personality traits
- Voice Synthesis: We use ElevenLabs API to convert text messages into voice audio
- Your data is not used to train AI models
- Generated content is created uniquely for you and not shared with other users
Third-Party Services
The Application utilizes third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Below are the third-party service providers used by the Application:

- Firebase Authentication: Manages user sign-in and authentication
- Cloud Firestore: Stores user data, pet information, and task records
- Firebase Storage: Stores pet photos you upload

Data Sharing
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process

- With trusted service providers who work on our behalf, have no independent use of the information, and have agreed to adhere to these privacy rules
- In aggregated, anonymized form that cannot identify individual users
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Guest Mode and Account Options
The Application offers a Guest Mode that allows limited use without registration:
- Guest data is stored locally on your device
- Guest data is not backed up and will be lost if you delete the app
- Guests have limited features (1 pet maximum, 5 task completions)
- You can convert a guest account to a registered account to preserve your data
Data Retention and Deletion
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the Application's settings. This will:
- Permanently delete your account information
- Remove all pets and tasks you created
- Delete uploaded photos from our servers
- Remove you from any shared household groups
For shared pets (pets with multiple owners), deletion will only remove your access; the pet will remain available to other owners.
Children
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at feedback@kittmatic.com so that we can take necessary action.
Security
The Service Provider uses commercially acceptable security measures to protect your information:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Secure authentication via Firebase
- Regular security updates and monitoring
- Access controls and authentication for all data access
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data
- Opt-out of data collection by uninstalling the app
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
